PA Doctor Charged with Trading Drugs for Sex
Do you do drugs? Do you ever find yourself doing something you didn't expect because you wanted to score your next fix? Do you wish that you could control your craving for drugs, or think you may need outpatient drug and alcohol rehab? Drug addiction is a disease that affects millions of Americans, causing them to do all kinds of things they normally wouldn't do. And now in western PA, a doctor has been charged with a scheme that involved illegally selling prescription medication in exchange for sex from female patients.
The 67-year-old doctor ran a complicated set-up in which he invited women to move into an apartment across the street from his house, displacing whatever previous woman he had stashed there. Then, he would trade illegally prescribed anti-anxiety and anti-addiction drugs for sex. "[he] referred to his residence as an 'income-sharing commune' and repeatedly invited female patients to move in with him there," the grand jury found. He allegedly kept more than $5 million worth of prescription drugs at his house. He has been charged with over-prescribing medication and with running a corrupt organization.
Do you take prescription medication without a prescription, or with a falsified prescription? Are you having trouble controlling your painkiller usage? Do you wish that you could quit using drugs? How far would you be willing to go to score prescription medication (such as OxyContin, Vicodin, or Percocet) or illegal drugs like meth, cocaine, heroin, marijuana, PCP, or Molly? Drug addiction is a horrible disease, but you don't have to fight it alone.
