Start the year with a break from alcohol consumption
Do you drink very often? Do you ever think that you can't have fun or be yourself unless you're consuming alcohol? How much do you drink per week? Do you ever wonder if alcohol detox services might help you? When was the last time that you didn't drink for a week-or a whole month? In the UK, a charity named Alcohol Concern and Cancer Research UK is urging people to stop using alcohol for the rest of the month. They say that quitting drinking will lead to improved health, weight loss, and other benefits.
“Many of us think the way we drink isn’t a problem, but even having just a few beers after work or a few glasses of wine at home too often can take you over safe limits and store up problems for the future," said a spokeswoman for the organization, who also said that thousands of people have already signd the pledge for a sober January. “We’re challenging people to take part in Dry January and try giving up booze for 31 days, and if it sounds like a big ask you’re exactly the person we want to join us and have a go."
Do you think it would be too much to give up drinking for one month? Does the thought of not having alcohol make you nervous? Is there a chance that you might be an alcoholic? Taking a month off of drinking could be a great way to gauge how dependent you are on alcohol. If you can't do it, there could be a chance that you are suffering from addiction.
