17 Year Old Dies on Skype After Taking Internet Drugs
Do you ever use dangerous or illegal drugs? Have you ever bought drugs from questionable sources? How about from the internet-websites like Silk Road? Have you ever tempted fate with illegal drugs like meth, heroin, PCP, Molly, marijuana, or cocaine? Have you experimented with prescription medication, such as prescription painkillers like OxyContin, Percocet, or Vicodin? In one recent tragic story, an English 17-year-old boy died in August during a Skype call with his friends after taking three hits of LSD and half a gram of ecstasy, according to sources. The youth had bought the drugs on the illicit drug market website Silk Road.
"I asked him to promise me he wouldn’t use drugs. He said he couldn’t do that," said the boy's mother in response to an official inquest. Investigators found out that he had been regularly using drugs, and felt lonely, isolated, and depressed. He had been on a Skype call with his friends (other teenagers) and had told them that he had taken the several doses of drugs. During the course of the call, his friends said that his speech got slurry, and then he seemed to have collapsed. And though his friends notified the young man's parents after he failed to respond to a voicemail, by the time an ambulance got there, it was already too late.
